Marsh Halberg

Minnesota Criminal Defense Attorney

"Your belief in my case and skilled defense got me through this frightening time. Thank you!" P.T.

During his thirty-five years as a criminal trial lawyer, Marsh has attained a level of trial experience few attorneys can equal, having handled some of the most notable cases in the State of Minnesota. Marsh has tried over 100 criminal jury trials and literally thousands of criminal court trials. He has garnered extensive experience in both state and federal court handling all types of criminal litigation, including homicide, criminal sexual conduct, drug offenses, complex white collar crimes, vehicular injury and DWI cases.

As a former Chief Prosecutor for the City of Edina, Minnesota and the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), Marsh supervised the prosecution of over 15,000 criminal cases annually. Marsh has also previously served as an Assistant Carver County Attorney in Chaska, Minnesota.

Marsh is Minnesota’s most requested Continuing Legal Education speaker on criminal law issues. He is the author of numerous training manuals and criminal law seminar materials. Notably, Marsh is the editor-in-chief of The Minnesota DWI Deskbook, the most comprehensive DWI source book for attorneys in Minnesota. Marsh also assists in the training of newly appointed Minnesota District Court Judges. (To read Minnesota Super Lawyers Magazine cover story about Marsh, click here.”)

Marsh recently moved to the City of Independence where he looks forward to volunteering in the community. Marsh resided in the City of Chaska for 35 years where he was actively involved in numerous civic, charitable and volunteer organizations serving Carver County and the City of Chaska. This public service was recognized with a park (with a winter sliding hill) being named in his honor.
