Minnesota Child Pornography Attorney

HomePractice AreasChild Pornography

Child Pornography is one of the "sex-crimes" that society finds most repugnant. Strong emotional response to even the words themselves result in immediate prejudice and leaps to judgment long before the accused has a chance to defend themselves. Crimes for distributing, manufacturing, or possessing Child Pornography are very serious. It is not unusual for one to be sent to prison for 10 to 20 years in the federal system for these crimes. Minnesota sanctions are also significant. In addition to incarceration, an individual convicted of Child Pornography will likely be ordered to years of Sexual Offender Treatment and mandatory Sexual Offender Registration. High fines, restitution (for the cost of therapy/damages to the child or children whose image is portrayed) and loss of job and other opportunities are also routine consequences of such a prosecution. One should absolutely seek the services of an attorney as soon as he/she becomes aware that he/she is the subject of such an investigation.

Our Minnesota Criminal Attorneys Have Extensive Experience

Attorneys at Halberg Criminal Defense have handled such cases with great success. We know that one's constitutional rights may be violated as law enforcement investigates, and that such conduct may result in a dismissal of the charge. We understand that things are very technical when it comes to what is on a computer and how it got there, and therefore we know of experts to assist in a defense. We are experienced trial lawyers that are sensitive to the anxiety and humiliation that a Child Pornography accusation renders. We can help you, and are available 24 hours a day 7 days of week to do so.

Halberg Criminal Defense represents individuals throughout the Twin Cities, and all of Minnesota, facing Child Pornography charges.
