Is there a statute of limitations for a cancellation on a drivers license (alchohol related) ?
Answer
The driver's license revocation is a civil action. You must challenge the revocation at the time you are revoked by filing a Petition for Judicial review of the revocation. If you did not do that, the revocation would stand and, administrative rules regarding reinstatement would apply. In many states that requires completion of treatment and/or AA attendance after multiple DWI's. There is no statute of limitations since driving within the state is considered a privilege and not a right. As a result, you must follow administrative rules to avail your elf of that privilege.
