Felon Friendly Jobs In Minnesota

What You Need to Know

At Halberg Criminal Defense, we understand that providing excellent legal representation in the courtroom is just one part of helping our clients move forward following a criminal charge or conviction. Reentering the workforce can be difficult for some of our clients, and we are committed to offering practical support by sharing resources that can make this transition smoother. To assist in your job search, we have compiled a list of felon-friendly employers throughout the state, along with additional resources to help navigate the hiring process.

It is important to note that while these companies have been known to hire individuals with criminal records, employment is not guaranteed. Hiring policies can vary—some employers review applicants on a case-by-case basis, while others have structured reintegration programs. Additionally, Minnesota’s “Ban the Box” law helps delay background checks in the hiring process, allowing candidates a fairer chance.

Trade certifications, apprenticeships, and reentry programs can significantly improve job prospects. With persistence and the right approach, finding meaningful employment after a criminal conviction is possible, andHCD is here to support you.
